Getting Started
Welcome to Pokémon TCG Team League. This guide walks you through exactly what to do to get registered, rated, and match-ready. Follow the steps in order.
Head to the registration page and create your account with a display name, email, and password.
- Your display name is what other players and admins will see throughout the app.
- You can update your display name and time zone any time from your profile.
All new players start at 100 PR. Your rating will move up or down based on match results.
PR (Player Rating) is how the league measures player strength and determines team composition budgets.
- Everyone starts at 100 PR. The range is 100–600.
- PR moves after every completed match based on your result and the rating gap between you and your opponent.
- Use the PR Calculator to estimate how much PR you'd gain or lose in any matchup.
If you have already played as a substitute in a previous match, your PR is already in the system. Do not attempt to reset it.
Teams are assembled by captains each season. To get picked up:
- Browse the Free Agents list — your profile is visible there once you register.
- Check the Teams page to see which rosters have open spots.
- Reach out directly to a team captain if you're interested in joining their team.
Free Agent
- Not yet on a team. Visible to captains for recruitment.
- Can still participate as a substitute while unrostered.
Rostered Player
- Assigned to a team and seed by a captain.
- Competes in weekly seed matches against the opposing team's same seed.
Once you're rostered, you'll appear on your team's matchup each week.
- Check the Week page on Monday to see who you're playing.
- Contact your opponent and agree on a date, time, and format.
- Open your match detail page to set the schedule and (optionally) log the Pokémon you used.
- Complete the match by Sunday 11:59 PM Eastern.
