Hello Lost Zone League Players and welcome to our (late) week 3 report! Blame Elijah, he needed a new car. Also, Elijah needs to stop referring to himself in the third person. (*Editors note, screw you Elijah, don’t call me out like that…) Wednesday should (hopefully) have the first addition of power rankings come out, but until then, please enjoy our coverage of the shenanigans and chaos that unfolded in week 3! Let’s start with the most important part, y’all really gotta start teching for Crustle… this deck has an overwhelming win rate on the season. PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO STOP THAT CRAB! Anyways all jokes aside, this week might have had the most diverse meta so far, with the most played decks being Festival Lead in first and Dragapult in second… The amount of one off decks that won this week was actually crazy though, there were 15! That's more that I can count on my two hands! That doesn't include the 10 decks that weren’t winners, bringing up the total of unique decks this week to 25. Almost 50 percent of people played a unique deck this week. This week, captains went 8-4.

This week's team recap includes a few SHLACKINGS and a few close games, the final undefeated teams falling and the first tie of the season!

Team Unplugged vs Peak Gaming

A week of two of the admins trash talking lead to utter domination from the side of Peak Gaming, who now are tied for second in the league standings after a stellar 4-1 player differential, a 9-3 game differential, and a 16-4 point differential. No more sleeping on Peak Gaming, with Dick and Carl out of the senior living quarters and back into the swing of things, this team might be the new favorites moving into the second half of the season! As for Team Unplugged, after a strong week 1 showing, they have struggled to build off that success… What is next for these two teams? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z (pls dont sue me i know i dont have the licensing for that…) With this result, Peak Gaming is now 2-1 and Team Unplugged is now 1-2.

Team Rouge vs Team NextPull

Lowkey, Team NextPull looking kinda scary… Another team that got a 4-1 player differential, Team NextPull beat Team Rouge with a 9-4 game differential, and a 16-5 point differential. Team NextPull might be next up, as their captain has started pulling his weight and now they are all in good form leading into the latter half of the season. As for Team Rogue, they continue to play rogue decks and haven't quite put up the results they are looking for just yet, but still have time to do so! With this result, Team NextPull is now 2-1 and Team Rogue is now 0-3.

Team Nacho Bell Grande vs Team Pucked Up

Literally the first thing I noticed when I was looking at the results for this game to write about it is that Team NBG had a player use a Iono’s Bellibolt deck… I was so happy until I looked down at the very next player and saw a Crustle. ANYWAYS, speaking of Team NBG, they continued to eat up the competition, besting Team Pucked Up with a 3-2 player differential, an 8-6 game differential, and a 14-8 point differential. Team NBG has settled themselves as a good roster, but are yet to have a result that wows. As for Team Pucked up, they have a rough schedule so I'm not very sure about their future, but they could definitely surprise me. With this result Team Nacho Bell Grande is now 2-1 and Team Pucked Up is now 1-2.

Forgotten Fairy Energy vs Flawless TCG

Flawless TCG went from being flawless, to taking their first loss on the season to Forgotten Fairy Energy, who managed to barely come out on top in a 3-2 player differential, a 6-5 game differential, and a 12-7 point differential. FFE’s outlook continues to grow each week after a bad week 1. As for Flawless TCG, I would look at this result as a blip on the radar. This team is still stacked and should be still favorites moving forwards, as even the best teams lose occasionally. With this result, both teams are now 2-1.

The Goon Gang vs SireSquad

The SireSquad put down one of the last two undefeated teams of the league, beating The Goon Gang with a 3-2 Player Differential, a 6-5 game differential, and a 12-7 point differential. I was wrong, SireSquad got hands, I will take my mistake gracefully. TGG losing might not have been the outcome I was expecting this week, but it doesn't mean they are in free fall, at least not yet. Both teams should still be favored to make the playoffs at a minimum. With this result, both teams are now 2-1.

Team Technicians vs Togepi’s Tiny Terrors

The first tie in Lost Zone League history, a weird accolade to have for certain. The player differential led towards Team Technicians in a 3-2, but the games ended up being favored 7-6 to Togepi’s Tiny Terrors, leading to a weird outcome where the end score was 10-10. This outcome does keep Team Technicians somewhat in a spot to compete for playoffs, and as for the Triple T’s, they managed to get a tie out of a loss, but really would have liked a win to better their chances at playoffs. Both teams have positive outlooks in my opinion though, with both showing signs of strength and the ability to punch up on any given day. With this result, Team Technicians are now 0-2-1 and Togepi’s Tiny Terrors are now 1-1-1.
