Hello Lost Zone League Players and Fans! We had a ton of interesting developments and results for week two of play! A few teams took a step back this week, with our first clean sweep, which is not really a title you want to have… At least it's still early in the season and these results shouldn't matter too much, RIGHT???? Anyways let’s get straight into the meta data for this week!

Slowking had a pretty big fall off from week 1 with its first few match losses of the season, which was kinda bound to happen after that strong of a start, but still worth a note. Is it just a blip in the radar and will Slowking bounce back as a strong play, or will the deck continue to fall off with less and less success? Only time will tell! Beedrill had a very good week, with the Dudunsparce variant having the best success, no funny variants unfortunately… Speaking of Beedrill, TONS of grass decks this week, with a total meta percentage of 33% being somewhat labeled as Grass, which is no surprise as to why there was quite a few fire decks in the picture too with a good amount of Ethan’s Typhlosion at 6% and a 75% win rate, and a couple Ceruledge, albeit with mixed results at a 50% win rate. Dragapult decided it wanted to show up this week, which kinda sucks for the league because we now have to deal with the best deck in the format being played… Crustle also took its first loss of the league, taking an L to Festival Lead. Captains this week went 8-4, a slight improvement from last week.

Team Unplugged vs Team NextPull

The first official clean sweep of the Lost Zone League, Team Unplugged got SLAMMED 0-5 by Team NextPull. Team NextPull won 5-0 player wise, 10-4 game wise and a whopping 18-4 point wise. Team Unplugged went from title contenders to pretenders in a week… But like I said last week, Team NextPull looks pretty good moving forward… With this result, both teams are now 1-1.

Team Unplugged has elected to not make a comment this week.

Peak Gaming vs Team Pucked Up

Peak Gaming didn't quite fall off a cliff, but they did take a step back losing this week to Team Pucked up with a player score of 3-2 in favor of Pucked Up, a game score of 6-4, and a point score of 12-6. Despite Peak Gaming having a player oversleep their match, don't sleep on Carl and Dick Coll as they have 2-0’d both their opponents the last 2 weeks… Unfortunately their teammates didn't show up this week, with one literally not showing up too. With this result, both teams are now 1-1.

Team Rogue vs Flawless TCG

Flawless TCG had another non-flawless week, but still managed to pull out a win, with a 3-2 player score, a 7-5 game score, and a 13-7 point score. Team Rouge had a player switch earlier in the week, but despite that, they managed to bring it close, just barely losing this week. Team Rogue has had flashes, but is yet to capitalize on them. As for Flawless TCG, they have proved to be a very solid squad for two weeks in a row and may now be the title favorites early on… After this result, Flawless TCG is now 2-0 and Team Rogue is now 0-2.

Team Nacho Bell Grande vs SireSquad

The SireSquad ate Team Nacho Bell Grande for dinner as they won with a 3-2 player differential, a 6-5 game differential, and a 12-7 point differential. Can I just say, I love SireSquad’s Logo (Quag, send me that image over discord!) Okay back to the games, SireSquad improved after a rough week 1 performance, but is still far away from title contention in my opinion. As for Team NBG, they had a slight slip from the soda machine from week 1, but have a chance to bounce back with a Team Pucked Up that just managed to squeeze past Peak Gaming. With this result, both teams are now 1-1.

Forgotten Fairy Energy vs Togepi’s Tiny Terrors

One of the most one sided games of the week, Team Forgotten Fairy Energy managed to put Togepi’s Tiny Terrors back into their shell. A 4-1 Player differential, an 8-3 game differential, and a 15-4 point differential, a strong bounce back after a week one loss. As for the triple T’s, realistically, they shouldn't play into 4 unfavorable matchups, three of which are auto losses again, so I wouldn't be too worried. With this result, both teams are now 1-1.

The Goon Gang vs Team Technicians

Y’all really got me saying that The Goon Gang won again huh. The Goon Gang won again this week beating Team Technicians with a player differential of 3-2, a game differential of 8-5 and a point differential of 14-7. The Goon Gang are now 1 of 2 teams who have not lost yet, leading the way as title contenders moving forward. As for Team Technicians, this team has the potential to bounce back in week 3 and be considered real dark horses going into the middle stage of the season, I haven't lost faith yet! With this result, The Goon Gang is now 2-0 and Team Technicians are now 0-2.
