About

A free online Pokémon TCG Expanded event played using Twinleaf. FORMAT & CLIENT This tournament uses the Expanded format and games will be played on Twinleaf rather than Pokémon TCG Live. Players are responsible for making sure their submitted deck is both legal for the event and fully playable on Twinleaf. Because Twinleaf is community-developed, not every Expanded card or interaction may currently be supported. New to Twinleaf? Read our setup guide before registering: https://lostzoneleague.com/news/how-to-play-expanded-pokemon-tcg-on-twinleaf INFORMATION The following serves as a general tournament guideline. Rulings may change based on the specific situation and Judge discretion. Swiss Rounds: Best of 1 with a 35-minute time limit and 5-minute Check In timer. Timers must be turned on while playing. Time extensions may be granted at Judge discretion. Top Cut Rounds: Untimed and Best of 3 with a 5-minute Check In timer. The higher-seeded player has the choice of going first or second in Game 1. It is each player's responsibility to Check In before every match. Failure to do so will result in an automatic Game Loss. Twinleaf Issues: Game freezes, connection problems, crashes, bugs, unsupported interactions, or other issues involving Twinleaf will be resolved by a Judge based on the circumstances, including game state and number of turns played. If you encounter a potential Twinleaf bug, stop taking game actions and call a Judge immediately. Screenshots of the game state are strongly recommended. Match Results: Players are strongly encouraged to screenshot the final game state or victory screen whenever possible. Unless the match chat indicates that a game ended because of time, a tie, bug, or Judge ruling, available evidence of the completed game will be used when resolving disputed results. Ties: A tie occurs when the Swiss round timer expires while a game is still in progress unless otherwise ruled by a Judge. Streaming: Players may stream their matches. A stream delay is recommended to prevent stream sniping. Receiving outside play advice, viewing an opponent's hand through a stream, or gaining any other unfair advantage may result in a Match Loss or additional penalties. Lost Zone League Discord channels may also be used for streaming. Player Conduct: Players found intentionally exploiting Twinleaf, breaking tournament rules, harassing other players, or otherwise gaining an unfair advantage may receive penalties up to and including disqualification and bans from future events. Slow Play: Intentionally slow playing may result in a Game Loss at Judge discretion. Call a Judge as soon as possible if you believe your opponent is slow playing. You may be asked to share your screen or provide screenshots showing the time discrepancy. All slow play rulings are at Judge discretion. Attempting to exploit tournament rules, policies, Twinleaf bugs, or minor irrelevant mistakes to gain an unfair advantage may result in disqualification. Contacting Judges: Use the Judge Call button in your Lost Zone League match chat. If there is no response from either player for more than three minutes, the Judge Call may be cleared. League Discord: Keep an eye on the tournament channels in the main Lost Zone League Discord for announcements, schedule changes, pairings, Judge information, and final standings.
